Family Shower for Baby Morris

My Aunt Cindy hosted a family shower for little Baby Morris on 12/28. It was so great to be able to celebrate the birth of the next generation with family. It was great to hear all the advice and stories of the past. Mike and I will ensure to hold the baby right side up :)

College Friends- Baby Morris Shower

Cheers to my college ladies.............December 21st my college friends Mere & Kim throw me a wonderful shower!

I can't believe we have been out of undergrad for more than 8 years. Gosh it just seems like yesterday when we were all up at St. Ben's.

It is amazing to see that our friendships have stayed strong and continue to grow today.

Nursery.... waiting for Baby Morris to arrive!!

BEFORE/AFTER

The nursery is all complete just waiting for Baby G Morris to arrive in January!! So much love and hard work has gone into creating this great space.

What we did:

• Installed: Crown molding, wood ceiling, chair railing, and plantation shutters

• Painted: Dressers, maple woodwork, wood ceiling, and walls
• Added round legs & molding to dresser
• Rewired chandler

• Designed and sewed bedding- (Mom you are awesome and what a gift you have)
• Designed changing table - (way to go honey)

My goodness did Gretchen & Anne host a beautiful baby shower for Baby Morris!! From the cake to the decorations everything was just perfect! I was so happy to see everyone that could attend. Baby Morris is sure entering this world surround by so much

Birthday #31

I can't believe I am 31 years old. I had a wonderful 31th birthday. I was surprise with fragrant flowers at work from Baby Morris and Cayman even wore a party hat for me! We celebrated with pizza, chocolate, and comfortable clothes just what I wanted.

Little Baby Morris is on the way.....(yep we are pregnant)

We are excited and feel very blessed...a new little addition is schedule to join our family on 1/10/10!! We recently had our "Baby Reveal Party." What is a "Baby Reveal" Party you may ask? Well we wanted to find out the gender of Baby Morris with the ones we loved. We had the doctor seal the gender in an envelop during the ultra sound. We then brought the sealed envelope to Queen of Cakes (www.queen-of-cakes.com). They created a beautiful cake that would reveal the gender. They baked the cake either blue for a boy or pink for a girl, then frosted and decorated it with the secret hidden inside. It wasn't until we cut into the cake we would find out what gender little Baby Morris would be!!!! The night was a blast and so very special. We will definitely remember this night for the rest of our lives!!

• Dead Lake + 8people and a dog + 750 square cabin =Lot so fun!!! (We actually stayed in the same cabins my mom and aunt did growing up - it was a must summer trip to bring back old family memories!!(group photo, mom fishing or should I say reading, the HUGE fish I caught)

Memorial Day Weekend

We celebrated Memorial Day Weekend up at Bone Lake. It was nice and relaxing. Little did we know we would have a visor in the area- a little black bear and her cub. They were adorable but unfortunately I couldn't get too close for a nice pic.

HOME RENOVATION

Well not really. We just finished putting down travertine and a heated floor in our kitchen. It looks great! Man is this tile laying hard work though! Little did I know everything envolved in the process: the multiple steps, precise measuring, tile cutting, etc. Thank goodness for a wonderful Dad who knows exactly what to do! Basically he did the majority of the floor but I am still tired from the little portion I actually did. Actually, I have to say I am not to bad a cutting tile in a straight line or handling a nail gun -he he he!!!

Mike's Surprise 30th Birthday Celebration- I still can't believe Mike never suspected a thing. Being surrounded by friends and family was wonderful and made the night so very special!!!! Below is a little video of the party - if you view make sure you have your sounds on.

Kim's Baby Shower

A passion of mine is throwing parties for friends and family. I really enjoy adding the little details to make each event unique and special. Kim's shower was based all around the invitations. IT'S 2009

Ok so it has been awhile since I have last written - Happy New Year!!! I just know 2009 is going to be might fine. The year got kicked off to a great start. January 14th - Mike and I celebrated our 3rd Wedding Anniversary! I am so very blessed to have such a wonderful husband and I thank God for bringing him into my life every day. On our actually anniversary day 1/14, I was out of town traveling on business. However, when I got back Mike had some beautiful flowers waiting for me The weekend after our anniversary we went up to our friends cabin. It was a blast. The guys kicked back and played Wii and they also had fun trying to drag the 4 wheeler back to the house after it quit running on the lake - this activity kept the guys busy all day. It was nice and relaxing to head up north and spend time with friends. I just figured out how to use this new software (Roxio) for creating video. So I have been trying it out. You will probably see some of my attempts shortly.
